My 8yo grandson had been to New York with his Mother for WEB MD's 'Bring Your Child to Work Day,' his first trip to N.Y. He loved all the buildings, especially the Empire State Building. He loves to build things, and has told us for two years that he wants to be an architect. This was the perfect Christmas gift for him. He had such fun assembling it and is so proud fo it!

Decent quality - directions are a disappointment

Great toy for aspiring architects and engineers. Only complaint is that many of the pieces weren't cut through and I needed to use an exacto knife to remove them. The need for help frustrated my 10 y old nephew who is typically an independent whiz at this sort of stuff.

My eight year old loved this. I worried it might be difficult for her, because there are no directions, just a 'blueprint,' but she was challenged without being frustrated. It looks great!

Purchased as gift for grandsons 12, 10 and 8. They loved building this and continue to talk about how much fun it was and how proud they are of their ability to build the Empire State Bulding. Looking for more projects to take on.

I bought this for my 11 year old daughter and he loves it. She put it together and it is now on display in her room.

The finished product looks great! It wasn't too difficult to put together but it does look pretty good. I wound up lightly sanding every piece, glues a few pieces to permanently secure them and spray painted the entire model to make it the color of the actual building. I definitly recommend this kit!

My 15 year old son was able to construct this very easily and it turned out beautifully. The quality and value are terrific. We now have his building on display and he is really enjoying showing it off.
