Relatively thick and durable, but some pieces have very narrow connections that will come apart rather quickly. Love the feature pictures on front/names on back of some states. Wish it came with a bag or a more durable box - my son ripped the box just opening the puzzle for the first time. Probably a little over-priced.

I bought this for my year old because his older brother is very into maps and he hears him talk about places, states and capitals all the time. They actually did the puzzle together and my four year old was able to do quite a bit. He's also been talking about things from different states like, ' Michigan is where we make our cars'- so I'd say it's a pretty good learning tool!

Size is fun and great for learning but the lettering stamped on is faint in some areas.

The sturdy pieces of this puzzle have held up well, even to being walked on by my three little boys. We have had fun putting it together and identifying which states we have visited.

Great for learning about the states. Would be nice to have the capitals on all of the states, not just random ones with random landmarks on others.
