Exciting and educational gift.
Purchased as a Christmas gift for our granddaughter and she had a blast with the Gem Discovery. She was so excited that she had to have us come right over to watch her dig more gems out and then explain to us what each of the gems was. It was fun for her as well as educational.

Kid loved but it’s spendy
My ten year old daughter is very into rocks, gems and minerals and loved this kit. It is pretty messy but we planned for that. Some of the tools are not quite up to the task but we still thought the overall quality was good. That said it was more expensive than expected and shipping was not cheap.

It's messy
I enjoyed digging out the jewels with my 7 yr old grandson. He was thrilled to find the first stone. I don't know how educational it was, but it was worth the money and time.

Don't waste your money
Very small and very small gems. Difficult to dig for. 6 yt old. Grandchild was disappointed and gave up. Cost was way too much for this product. Looked so much nicer in the magazine
