4-1/2 stars needs slight improvement but FUN!
4-1/2 stars. It’s very messy. My almost 5 YO granddaughter stuck w/this even though it was difficult for her. Most kids would have given up or most adults would have jumped in to do it to avoid frustration. The hammer head is really too small for the youngest kids to accurately hit the small chisel -the striking area needs to be bigger. I think too it might need to be soaked longer than 5 minutes. She loves it though and so do her parents. It turned out to be fun thing to do with dad’s help.

Both my granddaughter (age 6) and my grandson (age 9) had this on their Christmas list so I ordered 2 of them. They have had geode discovery products before. I liked this set because it had multiple gems to uncover. They had lots of fun with it. My only complaint was that the little hammers broke while they still had a good bit to do to finish.
