This is a great toy. Just like a set of blocks, it can be used over and over again. Put it away for a month and bring it back out again and it plays like new. Lots of learning going on, but totally hidden by the fun.

My two grandsons (ages 3 and 5) really like this. At first they played with an adult to learn set up a base and how the different pieces fit. Other times, the boys construct a smaller version on their own. They appear to stay really focused and are quite pleased to show what they have done. We put marbles in a ziplock and pieces in a nylon bag.

The kids really enjoyed this. It was challlenging enough to get the right sloop and end at the right point plus it had lots of configuration possibilities.

Best set we've seen, our occupational therapist loves it and ordered one for her practice. This set w/ add on holds up well and is so much fun! Our 4yo son has built towers as tall as his dad.

This marble run was purchased for a 4 yr. old that LOVES to 'construct'. It is challenging for him. With the help of his 7 yr. old brother, they create and are able to try/fail many marble runs and discover that there are many ways to solve a problem. They are developing fine motor skills, spatial orientation, balance and symmetry concepts, motion/gravity,cooperative learning, etc....as well as having fun. Another important concept not often taught in todays education system in America is 'failure'. Not all things work! But try again!

i have one from another manufacturer and was disappointed to see how hard this one was to erect. would not buy again.

I got this for my son for Christmas and he has set it up every day since then (it's been a month). He is 4 and has no trouble putting the pieces together. The pieces are durable too.
