Great extension to the marble run
I bought this to replace one that had lost all its chain pieces, I am really really glad that this is sold as an extension/expansion to the bigger set. If you already have the mind-ware marble run this is totally worth the price. One thing I do want to say is that the battery compartment needs to be unscrewed. I tried to just pull it apart and I had broke some of the plastic. There were probably instructions I missed, but if anyone else is reading this, you need to remove the tiny screw first.

great product
Tried to build my own elevator but it's very difficult. This one is very practical, easy to assemble. and easy to use.

Are we doing something wrong?
If you put the belt on with enough slack to connect the chain easily, the little "seats" for the marbles get caught in the openings they are supposed to go through. If you take out a chain link to tighten it up and really struggle to get it back together, it pulls the towers forward and the marble ramps don't have the proper tilt to allow them to "run". Perhaps better instructions would have helped. My granddaughter still loves it, however, and she just holds the towers to make them straighter.

Great add-on!
My friend's kids love the marble run products so I had to get them this elevator. It's a great add-on!

Needs better instructions
At first I was going to give this a 1 star review. It was so frustrating to try to put together, the instructions were almost non-existent, and there was nothing but a tiny black and white picture of what it was supposed to look like. I eventually figured it out though and now it works and we like it. It was one link too long, so once I removed one link it had the correct tension. There should be 14 links between each lift to make it even. If the lifts are tilting down and dropping pieces then they need to go on the other direction.

Doesn't work correctly
My son asked for this for Christmas and when we got This thing it is not nearly cool as we thought it would be. The marble catchers are too small and not stiff enough. They constantly tilt down when they catch a marble and drop them. The chain itself is also so shaky that this also continuously causes the marbles to fall as well. At first we built this as tall as the chain would allow so I thought it was due to excessive length but even when we made it very short we still encountered the same problems. I would not recommend buying the elevator as it does not function as intended at all.
